Jussie Smollett skipped NAACP AWARDS.Chris Rock strikes Jokes!

Jussie Smollet was a no show at the NAACP Awards yesterday 30th March 2019. After. He was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, but he lost to “Grey’s Anatomy” star Jesse Williams. After ABC NEWS reported that he flew from Chicago to LA on Wednesday, everyone expected him to be there but he didn't show up. NAACP Awards honors outstanding performances for the year to people of color.



Chris Rock while presenting an Award for Outstanding Comedy Series said


   "They said 'No Jussie Smollett jokes,' but that didn't stop him from cracking jokes. he went on


     "What a waste of light skin, Do you know what I could do with that light skin? That curly hair? My career would be out of here! I'd be running Hollywood." "What the hell was he thinking? You're 'Jessie' from now on,"  "You don't get the 'u' no more. That 'u' was respect. You ain't getting no respect from me!"




Smollett was accused of faking a racist, anti-gay attack on himself in January, but the Judge has decided to dismiss all charges against the 'Empire' star, sparking outrage.Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson have been among those issuing strong rebukes, with the mayor calling the dismissal a ”whitewash of justice."
