When should you start teaching your children about puberty

That's a good question. As a parent, you can begin this talk early. It can be brought up in a conversation or in a story telling scene. You can start by innocently asking the kids to tell you the major parts of their body. The answer is private parts and public parts.

Then go into details and explain. Public parts are those parts of the body where people can touch and see. Example : hands, legs, face.
Private parts of the body are those areas where no one is permitted to see, touch or feel. For male, its the penis, scrotum, anus, laps, buttocks and lips. For female, its the breast, vagina, laps, buttocks, anus, lips.
A good touch is one on the public body parts while a bad touch is one on the private body parts. Anyone who tries to touch the private body part is a Sexual Abuser. An abuser can threaten you with "don't tell your parents or I will kill them" or "if you tell anybody, you will be punished or "you will die"
The abuser will continue to have his/her way if he/she succeeds in instigating fear in the child. This can make a child suicidal, dull in school, affect the child's studies, the child can be an HIV/Aids victim, unhappy and depressed.
Our children should be well informed not to succumb to threats but to speak up, run, scream, and never to condon such act. Report any offender today.
Parents should also avoid these practices in front of their children
-Bathing in their presence.
-Watching scenes from movies where      kissing and other intimate activities occurs.
-Dressing up in front of their children.

Let's be vigilant in raising our kids. Let's make them aware of these predators. Let's ensure that our children are ☺.
