Soldier Sacked for Raping a 14years Old Girl in IDP Camp

A flight lieutenant, Martin Owerrem has been sacked for raping and assaulting a 14 year old female Internally Displaced person in Maiduguri IDP camp. The Theatre Command  Special Court Martial sitting in Maiduguri, Borno State in Nigeria, dismissed him on the charges levelled against him which were 3 counts of disobedience, assault, and defilement by inserting his finger in the young girl's vagina before raping her inside the bush. The happened in 2018 when Owerrem was the Commander of the Special Force Battalion near Bakassi IDP Camp.
