From Being Tagged a Witch As A Young Boy To Playing Sports; Anja Gives Updates about Hope

Anja Ringgren Loven, a Danish Philanthropist and founder of African Children's Aid Education and Development Foundation ( ACAEDF) drew the admiration of millions after she saved a little boy in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state, of Nigeria, who had been abandoned by his family because they claimed he was a 'witch'.

Anja and her husband David Emmanuel Uwem, run the foundation dedicated to helping young abandoned children. Anja has said in a statement that she feels fulfilled whenever she gives hope to children.

“I grew up with a mom who all her life worked at a nursing home, and she always told me that we need to help each other, to be useful in this life and to be compassionate,” explained Anja.
She says of her work, “I simply do not know how to describe it in words. This is what makes life so beautiful.”

Recently she shared the picture of an abandoned child she rescued in February 2016 and the boy looks good in his sports outfit.

Anja wrote on Facebook: "From being branded a witch, abandoned, rejected and stigmatized to representing his school in 100 meters race 💪🏿🏃🏿‍♂️😍 Today, Hope is taking part in his school's Inter-House Sport Festival and of course he will be representing his team in the 100 meters race🏅🏆 See my little nugget he's got swag 😂😎🤙🏿".
