President Buhari Performs Umrah Rites In Saudi Arabia

President Muhammadu Buhari and Wife, Aisha Buhari were seen performing Umrah at the Masjid Haram in the Muslims' Holy Grand Mosque in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This was made public by Femi Adesina, the presidential spokesperson on media and publicity on Saturday 18th of May 2019.

 

Umrah is sometimes known as the lesser pilgrimage or the minor pilgrimage, in comparison to the annual Hajj pilgrimage of Islam. The word "umrah" in Arabic means to visit an important place.

 In the picture shared, The President was seen with other Muslims with shaved hair, Wearing the Ihram(mandatory white cloth for Umrah), walking and running, fully dedicated to his prayers to God.
