Lamar Admits To Being A Sex Addict

Lamar Odom is opening up in his new memoir titled 'Darkness to Light' about his struggles with sex addiction and drugs. He reportedly told People Magazine in an exclusive interview about the book and his experiences. The 39 year old basketball star admitted to cheating on his then wife Khloe Kardashian in their marriage until she eventually discovered.

Lamar Odom was raised by his grand mother and his heroine-addict father. His mother lost her life in his early childhood to colon cancer. At 18, he started a family with his first love Lisa Morales and they had 3 children (one is deceased). He couldnt maintain a faithful relationship with her so they broke up.

In 2009, he met Khloe Kardashian and they both got married. He recalled in his book:

"Being with her was bliss. At the start of our marriage, I was faithful to her. But my cocaine use spiked in the summer of 2011." He continued

" I wish I could have been more of a man. It still bothers me to this day... for a while being with her was bliss and I was the happiest I've ever been. We were one of the most famous couples in Hollywood and we made more money together than we made individually. "

He opened up of being obsessed with sex for a long time.

" I am a sex addict. There were too many strippers to count. It wasn't a big deal but often I would pay them. I never thought less of them." He continued "I had a problem. I ran out of porn to watch! Thats how you know when you are going a little overboard. Sex was a trigger for me to do drugs, because you double up on that good feeling."

Odom recounts overdosed in a Love Ranch brothel in Las Vegas and nearly died. He described his overdose and survival as a miracle and he's determined to never return to that place again.

"Everyone I'd ever loved was looking at me through bleary eyes. Khloe never left my side. She didnt shower foe days. They put chairs together for her to aleep across at night. On October 16, I opened my eyes for the first time in 48hrs. From the darkness to the light."
